Hyde Concrete started life as Hyde Coatings, a specialty installer for a complete line of concrete coatings and epoxy flooring systems. Although our business has developed and evolved more towards concrete, we have retained strong and practical roots in our coatings past to benefit our customers.

There are several things that set us apart from other coatings companies. First is our lack of affiliation with any one particular vendor and/or product. At Hyde Concrete we have tested and used numerous products and systems in a plethora of situations. We have learned what works, what doesn’t, and what is the best value for our customer and no one else! Second, is our professional surface preparation. This cannot be stressed enough! A lot of what you are buying is proper surface preparation. At Hyde Concrete, we don’t believe in acid etching – it’s not good enough. We have large, professional surface preparation machines that allow us to mechanically grind or shot-blast the surface of your concrete in preparation for a new coating. Thirdly, our knowledge of various product choices ensures that you are getting the right coating for you and not just the product where we get the biggest margin. We know the answers to when a urethane is better than an epoxy, a water based is a better choice than a solvent based product, and so on. Finally, we do have relations with numerous polymeric vendors that allow us access to specialty coatings that are only sold to qualified professionals. This ensures that you are getting the best product available on the professional market and not what is locally available at a big box store.

A coating could be something as simple as a clear sealer in the basement to a complex, multi-textured decorative finish in a retail showroom. At Hyde Concrete, we have installed tens of thousands of square feet of coatings – each one special to the customers needs! Some of the more popular applications are:

• Protective Coatings: Typically referred to as an epoxy floor and usually installed in a garage. At Hyde Concrete we promote our own combination of coatings that we believe give the best possible protection available for the right price.
• Paint Chip Broadcast Systems: These decorative floors mimic the look of granite and terrazzo floors by having multi-colored paint flecks distributed into the coating. This floor also provides a solid protective coating with a subtle textured finish to it.
• Decorative Sand Broadcast System: This decorative floor has different colored sand of various sizes distributed into the coating to provide an attractive and useful non-slip finish.
