Columbia Gateway is a renovated, vibrant, multi-tenant office space that offers versatile social spaces for a modern community. The 3,800 sf first floor amenity features space for conferencing, lounging, gaming and a community kitchen. This space required a durable and high-end finish to accommodate heavy foot traffic, without sacrificing design.

The architects knew the existing concrete slab was not in the best condition, so they contacted Hyde Concrete to place a polished concrete overlay. Our scope of work included the entirety of the first-floor main corridor, amenity space, lounge, and library.

The floor was divided down the middle in a flowing pattern with two different finishes. One overlay finish has a salt and pepper aggregate exposure, while the other has a heavy aggregate exposure.
